The famous trumpet virtuoso Ludwig Guttler can be heard during the series of concerts "Sandstone & Music". which runs from March to October in the country in Dorfkirchen, in the Marienkirche church in Pirna and on the concert stages in Saxon Switzerland.

The Venetian artist Canaletto, who was also court artist in Dresden, was especially fond of the little town of Pirna, which had the most beautiful market squares in Saxony.
